“The Day I’m Inaugurated Muslim Hostility Will Ease”
“Then-Senator Barack Obama makes the case for an Obama Presidency on November 21, 2007 by saying he is uniquely qualified to bring stability to America’s relationships in the Muslim world because he lived in an Islamic country during his youth and his half-sister is Muslim.” So much for Obama’s “understanding” of the Islamic world.
White House Says Protests Are Not Against U.S.
The all too familiar White House game of shift the blame, “it’s not our fault,” has begun — again! According the Washington Free Beacon, “White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday the violent protests throughout the Middle East are not directed at the United States or U.S. policy but are a response to a YouTube video.
“This is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy, this is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims,” Carney said.
On the surface, this statement is true. However, it is naive and simplistic. The video in question served only as a catalyst that set smoldering hatred of the United States, its culture, and its policies ablaze.
The radicals of the Islamic world resent our freedom, especially religious freedom, and liberty to say and do what we want.
We are everything they hate. To dismiss this violence against our presence as merely displeasure over an obscure video is ill advised and dangerous. The sooner we recognize this, the safer and more prepared we will be.
Unfortunately, as violent protests spread to Syria, Gaza, Israel, and Afghanistan, this message is lost on Obama and his cadre of clowns.
