Big Government reports on a YouTube video featuring a miscreant thug, aka a high school “teacher,” screaming at a student in an out of control rage about disrespecting president Obama and claiming that disrespecting the president is a criminal offense.
This woman obviously got her teaching credential out of a Cracker Jack box. I can see no reason, other than Liberal Derangement Syndrome, for this outburst. The teacher is ignorant and hyper-politicized, and she, and the legions left-wing proselytizers like her, do not belong in our classrooms.
Listen to her in the video. She is unhinged. She rails at the idea that a student, obviously more aware of our rights than she, disagrees with her about the nature of political discourse. She is screaming at the top of her lungs, bullying the student because he dares to challenge the mantra of the party line to speak what he correctly believes to be the truth.
Ever since the Sedition Act expired in 1801 and continuing through the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision in 2010, political speech in the United States has been protected as part of the guarantees enumerated in the First Amendment of the Constitution.
The First Amendment is abundantly clear, at least to those of us who can actually read and comprehend, as it states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Then again, a 30-second search on the internet to get the facts is probably above her pay grade. Besides, to a mindless ideologue, facts are pesky things that just get in the way of “the message.”
Fire this “teacher.”
This incident is a perfect example of the evils of tenure and public employee unionization. The corrupt educational system, however, will protect this incompetent, and others like her, at all costs. If a parent was seen screaming and bullying their child like this woman did, they’d be charged with child abuse.
There are many good teachers out there. The problem is the educational bureaucracy. The bureaucracy handcuffs and stifles good teachers and innovation while virtually rewarding fools and incompetents.
And the children suffer.
The education system has lost sight of its mission. That mission is to educate our children; to teach them how to think and reason; and to prepare them for the challenges of adult life.
The mission of the education bureaucracy now seems to be the perpetuation of the tyranny of the “educrats.”
That is disrespect. It is disrespectful of the children, their parents, and the taxpayers who foot the bill to watch their children become dumbed-down and unprepared for life.
That is more than disrespect. It is a crime. It is a crime to steal a child’s future. At least it should be.
