Josef Stalin purged enemies of the state in the Soviet Union of the 1930s. Purge is a polite word for murdered or enslaved in work camps for life. If Stalin perceived you as a threat, you were purged. No charges. No trial. No recourse. No hope.
That was Stalin’s Russia, but it could be America in the 21st century.
According to Mike Shedlock writing on Townhall.com, exactly 200 years after the adoption of the Bill of Rights, the United States Senate, by an 88-12 vote approved the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). President Obama signed this bill into law December 31, 2011.
This bill trashes key elements of the Bill of Rights. According to Shedlock, “[the NDAA] allows US citizens to be arrested, detained, even sent to Guantanamo, Cuba without being charged with any crimes.”
The wording is so vague almost everyone is a threat.
The real threat to American liberty is President Obama and every Senator and Representative who voted for this atrocity.
The entire House of Representatives is up for re-election this year. We must remove from office, regardless of party affiliation, every representative that voted for this heinous attack on liberty.
A third of the Senate is up for re-election. We must remove all of those who are up for re-election who voted for the NDAA. We must recall or impeach the remainder of the 88 traitors who voted against the Constitution.
Finally, we must defeat Barack Obama in November.
In the interim, we must force Congress to pass, and the president to sign, a bill deleting the offending portions of the NDAA. We must also challenge it in the courts.
If we fail, anyone who dares to disagree will be an enemy of the State and America will cease to be the land of the free.
“We will never be through with our fight for Liberty, because there will always be people who do not want the responsibility of freedom, and there will always be people who will gladly take that responsibility away from them, for the power it brings.” ~ N. Scott Mills
