For more than a century, the so-called progressives have been eating away at the moral foundation that makes America a great nation, an exceptional nation, among the nations of the world. This attack began in the mid-19th century with the publication of three books: Das Kapital by Karl Marx, The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, and The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin.
These three books are the foundation of the immoral, God-denying, dehumanizing pogroms launched against America. In the end, the goal is chaos which will, in the progressive’s view, lead to the destruction of America which then would be replaced by a godless system of economic and environmental justice, of total equality.
Marx expressed this “justice” best when he said, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need,” or, as our president said during his 2008 campaign, “…I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
Justice for whom? Good for whom?
While the issues of how YOUR tax dollars are spent and the ever-expanding government control of our daily lives from health care to what light bulbs you buy, are important, there is a more fundamental process working to destroy America.
Recently, I read these headlines: “McDonald’s Boss Accused of Punching Mom with Service Dog,” and “Norway Gunman Fired For 1.5 Hours On Island.” Every day on local television and in the newspapers, we witness graphic tales of immorality, sexual perversion, road rage, of children killing children, of abuse of all manner of life from elder abuse to abortion.
America, and the western nations, are becoming uncivilized and barbaric. This is a direct result of the systematic progressive attack on God and, in the United States, on American morality.
In his book Musclehead Revolution, Kevin McCullough describes the fight for America’s heart and soul as being between the Godly and the godless: moral absolutes versus moral relativity.
For 50 years, traditional Americans have sat dumbfounded as the de-civilizing wave of progressivism erodes our moral foundation and our nation. Ann Coulter describes this in her book Godless and, in her current book, Demonic, where she describes progressives and their tactics as violent, unruly, unthinking mobs.
Just look at the recent events in Wisconsin when the governor simply wanted to increase the share of cost of the “benefits” union teachers received. It was near anarchy. It was all based on lies and half-truths designed to pander to a mob’s basic fears and emotions.
Then consider the recent troubles in Great Britain with what the lame street media has been calling an uprising of “working class youths.”
First, one must have worked at some point to be considered working class. Nonetheless, these people are products of the Godless Marxist nanny state who have lived their entire lives without responsibility or morality on someone else’s money.
Some things are always right, and some things are always wrong. God’s universe is binary; ones and zeroes. There are very few “gray” areas.
“Thou shalt not murder” is a clear mandate, but faux Christians like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Joe Biden, and a cadre of others, transform and redefine terms to somehow excuse the murder of more than 53 million unborn children in the United States since the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade.
To put this in perspective, according to the United States Department of State, the July 2011 population estimate for the entire nation of South Korea is 48.7 million people. The combined population of the two largest states of the United States is 62 million. Imagine murdering the entire population of South Korea, or the entire population of California and most of Texas.
But then, this is not unimaginable in the godless progressive mind. According to Communist Body Count (www.scottmanning.com), 149,469,610 people have been murdered or starved to death in communist (progressive) countries from 1918 through 2006. That is the equivalent of the entire population of both Japan and Australia.
Perhaps this explains the casual dismissal of Obamacare’s “Death Panels” or the glee with which enviro-radicals are trying to destroy energy production in the United States, or the constant pressure to over sexualize children and demean life through euthanasia and assisted suicides.
Who is next?
This is the evil of relativism, the fundamental “principle” of progressivism. It attacks God; it attacks our humanity; it attacks our souls.
This is the fundamental battle we face today: the rule of God and law; or the rule of “if it feels good do it” and “what’s right for you isn’t necessarily right for me” relativism.
To reclaim America and restore its greatness, we must return it to the rule of law and to the rule of God upon which it is founded.
I am not talking about an Iranian-style theocracy where the rules of religion, one religion, are the law of the land. I am talking about returning America to the rule of law which is based upon the Judeo-Christian ethic; secular laws based upon religious principles of morality, ethics, and behavior. This is the foundation of liberty and freedom so eloquently expressed in the Declaration of Independence.
It is time to stand and fight. Not with violence, but with activism.
We must teach our children, our grandchildren, and even our peers, the values of morality and civility and their underpinnings of faith. We must answer every falsehood whenever and wherever we encounter it with reasoned, rational, and measured responses based in truth.
As the motto of a newspaper I once worked for proclaimed, “Give light and the people will find their own way.” That light is truth — universal and incontrovertible.
With every waking breath, we must live and speak to that statement. We must spread the word of truth, of absolute truth, and of the evils that moral relativity and the culture of entitlement (“you owe me”) have brought upon us.
This effort must extend beyond our friends, families and even beyond prayer and our churches for even in His sanctuaries there is corruption of His truth by those who have been distracted and led astray by the bright shiny visions of the progressives.
We must act. Words are powerful, and if they speak the truth, they are invincible.
We cannot wait. We must stomp out every ember, every glimmer, of the flame of lies and half-truths spoken by the progressives, for if we fail, their fires of destruction will consume all that is right and good in America.
We cannot let this happen to those we love and to the generations that will come after us.
We must fight, no matter the cost, for the cost of losing is far greater. Great men and women throughout history have been persecuted and murdered for speaking the truth. The truth is always inconvenient to those who want to control us. However, I’d rather die with the truth on my lips in service to God, family, and country, than to lie down in servitude to those who disavow that truth.
Unless we return to the moral foundation that built American Exceptionalism, we will be doomed to live as slaves under the yoke of progressive (read Communist) tyranny.
Join the fight to preserve America as the last best hope of freedom. Help take back America. Help restore the government of “We, the people…” and rid ourselves of the corrupt cadre of communists, crooks, and cronies that have taken control of OUR government with the intent to destroy us from within.
Take back America now, before it is too late. The only way to do this is to adhere to your faith, stay informed, and get involved in any way that you can. Forward this blog, share it on Facebook, talk to friends, family, coworkers, and your congregation. Read voraciously.
Constantly call, email, or write your representatives. Participate in town meetings, elections, and your children’s schools. Stand and be heard, but in reason-driven passion, not discourteous contempt.
By being ever vigilant, we will prevail.

It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
